MASECO Asia is delighted that Damian Barry will be joining the Investment Team as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at MASECO Private Wealth in the UK, and we look forward to his involvement and input in MASECO Asia’s investment processes, as well.
Damian has joined from Mediolanum asset management, where he was the Head of Multi-Asset Management. Damian and his portfolio management team were responsible for both top-down strategic research, as well as bottom-up manager selection for the multi-asset portfolios.
Damian’s career spans over 25 years. Prior to Mediolanum, Damian was responsible for running multi-asset portfolios for Seven Investment Management, focusing on top-down asset allocation decisions combined with bottom-up passive and active fund selection. Prior to Seven IM, Damian managed large multi-asset portfolios for Threadneedle and Russell Investments for a wide range of institutional, high net worth individuals and retail clients. During his time at Russell Investments, Damian lived in Seattle, managing portfolios for US clients. He is a CFA charterholder and has a Bcomm from UCC.
At MASECO Damian will lead the Investment Team, bringing together both internal and external expertise to portfolio construction and research. Damian will chair MASECO’s Investment Committee and become a member of MASECO’s Strategy Committee, supporting MASECO’s collective mission to service the needs of US and global families.
